God of war: Origins collection HD Review

Posted: December 7, 2011 by saiyajinzoningen in REVIEWS

I like God of war. I always have, I always will. So when offered the chance to review these once Playstation portable games on a console how could I refuse? Now, if you’re reading this review lets get something straight; you probably have already played at least ONE God of war¬†game in your lifetime. So that being said, there is very little new offered in these games. However, this is not a bad thing. The tried and true God of war formula succeeds yet again.

From dust Review

Every once in a while it’s nice to play a game that’s outside of your comfort zone. Today’s main course was a god game. What’s a god game? Well it’s a game where you are god. You command the elements and can terraform your environment and destroy foes with a flick of your wrist. On second thought that describes a lot of games. Ah well.

Bleach: Soul resurreccion Review

I love Anime. I love Anime so much that I’ve owned every single Dragonball game since the original Playstation and Sega Saturn games. I’ve owned Naruto games, Gundam games and even Fist of the North star. That being said when I heard about a Bleach game being released for the Playstation 3 I nearly jumped for joy. I am a huge fan of Bleach, so I had some expectations for this action adventure. Typically video game adaptations of Anime aren’t done very well and unfortunately, Bleach: Soul resurreccion is no exception.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 Review

Posted: August 18, 2011 by saiyajinzoningen in REVIEWS

Being a veteran to Dynasty Warriors: Gundam games (yes I own all three titles in the series) I knew what to expect from this one. Since I don’t play any other Dynasty Warriors games (Ken’s rage excluded) the only games I can really compare these Gundam games to is each other. If you have ever played a Dynasty Warriors game then you know the drill. Basically one button mash your way through hordes, and I really do mean hordes, literally thousands of foes to face a boss. Not much has changed with Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 but there are a few unique twists to be found.

E3 2011: EA press conference impressions

Some people describe me as a hardcore gamer. I’m not talking about football I’m talking about video games. Since you are reading this then you are aware that it’s superbowl time for us gamers. That would be E3. To those of you who have accidentally landed on this page and find yourself strangely intrigued by my oddly hypnotic writing style, prepare yourself. Things are about to get bumpy.

Review: Fist of the North Star – Ken’s rage

Posted: February 15, 2011 by saiyajinzoningen in REVIEWS

Being a veteran of the Dynasty warriors games and it’s many similar titles, I wasn’t expecting much from Fist of the North Star: Ken’s rage. ¬†However, I was surprised to find it far crappier than Koei’s usual beat em up/hack n slash archetypes.

Dragon ball Z: Raging blast 2 review

Posted: November 23, 2010 by saiyajinzoningen in REVIEWS

It has been said that Dragon Ball Z is the undead cash cow of the gaming industry. As an avid gamer I’m inclined to agree. However as a DBZ fan I can’t help craving another glass of that sweet, sweet milk. Dragon Ball Z: Raging blast 2 (DBZRB2) is actually the third DBZ game to grace the nex-gen systems. The tendency of the DBZ games is to get marginally better with each instillation. Does this one measure up?
