R.I.P Dwayne McDuffie (1962-2011)

Writing eulogies is never something that anyone looks forward to doing but in order to honor a person it must be done. Artist Dwayne McDuffie who has worked on everything from “Batman: The animated series”, “Justice league unlimited” and most recently the “All Star Superman” movie, has passed away due to complications from a surgical procedure that was done on him Monday night.

His most recent work was the direct to DVD film, “All-Star Superman”. He did a great job of keeping the tone of the original book while also making it into a movie that made sense in and of itself.

This is really a sad day in the world of animation and comic books. My condolences go out to the McDuffie family for their loss.

Rest in Peace Dwayne McDuffie.
